We are here to help!
Water is the number one enemy of your home's foundation. Water = shifting foundation, ouch! And clogged full gutters means water isn't flowing like it should. The spring rains will stay in the gutter and eventually overflow, messing up your beautiful landscaping and with enough time, start causing your home's foundation to shift.
Most customers of Flathead Valley Gutter Cleaners get by with one gutter cleaning service a year! There's a few with lots of trees close to their homes that have us come by twice a year and a few that only need their gutters cleaned every other year.
A sure sign that your gutters need cleaning is any overflowing gutters or visible debris. If it has been a while since your last clean and there's trees around, it's a safe bet they should be cleaned.
Awesome! However your gutters get cleaned, what matters is that they are being properly maintained. A few tips to make the job easier:
1. Throw the debris on a tarp rather than using a bucket (this saves time and is much safer!)
2. Make sure your ladder is secure! Ladder work is dangerous work. To learn more about ladder safety from OSHA, click here.
3. Check each and every downspout. Most gutter issues are caused from a clogged downspout so flush with water or better yet, drop a small ball down the downspout.
Aah, one of the more commonly asked questions... The short answer is that it all depends. The suitability of gutter guards depends on the type and number of trees, how often the gutters need to be cleaned, how much wind your home gets, if there's heat tape installed, and your budget. We can schedule a complete gutter guard consultation, just give us a call.
Fortunately/unfortunately we are so busy with gutter and roof cleaning that it's really difficult to find time for any sort of gutter repairs. Feel free to still contact us or text/call us and we can see what we can do!
Due to safety risks of being on the ladder and roof with the snow and ice, we are closed for the season until Spring. If you would like to get on our Spring 2025 schedule, please fill out the information on the "contact us" page and we will get back to you in March 2025. We apologize for any inconveniences. Stay safe out there!
